Where's the Submit form? Why do I have to submit my stuff by email?I use a Keep-It-Simple approach. The benefits of email over forms are:
- No requirement for multiple forms (or one large, cumbersome form) on the site ie. newsletter, adverts, stories, parts, feedback etc.
- Human verification - you don't need to jump through hoops, type funny looking, obscured letters or solve maths to contact me.
- The spam problem is solved - no form, no automated spam from the form.
- No text character or image amount limits.
- No required fields - you send what you want to send.
- Everyone can use email.

The site has gone all weird, what's happening? Some pages look old, then change to a new look, some are new straight off, what's going on?The site has undergone a full redesign and the old site has also been completely removed from the server to remove any legacy files or folders, in part to reduce spam from the forms.
Your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari etc.) might have saved the pages of the old site in its cache and might still display the old style for some pages and the new style for other pages. The easiest way to remedy this is just to refresh your browser. Emptying the cache will help if you have more problems.
If you have problems which you think aren't related to you browser please email me as soon as possible on idlehippy@mac.com

What does "LHR-MQP, one Land Rover at a time ..." at the top of your site, mean? The short answer - LHR-MQP is the IATA airport code for London Heathrow Airport to Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (Nelspruit, South Africa). It's a quick way of reminding me about something.
The long answer - is that I've had a dream to drive through Africa ever since I knew what driving and Africa meant. I've also always loved Land Rovers (or more correctly the idea and look of them) and realised that I needed to do something regarding these two 'dreams'. This website is one of the ways I'm going to try and achieve either one or both of those dreams. I still have quite a few years (maybe even a decade) before my little boy is a good age to appreciate doing the trip but its a big ask and I think an early start is essential.
So it's a reminder of where I am and where I'm heading really.
